NZFW 2010 – NEVERBLACK

This was actually Neverblack’s first time showing on New Zealand Fashion Week. The label is existing for only two seasons now so it is still a pretty young brand. The designers behind Neverblack are not particularly new in town though. Jeremy Maclaurin and Martin Chapman used to have a street wear brand called NVAH and invited women’s wear designer Chelsea Thorpe to upgrade their brand, out of this collaboration Neverblack got born! To me that explained how a first show like this could look so professional. ¬†Another thing I noticed was that there was a lot of black sheer again which we also already saw at Zambesi and Jimmy D, so it is probably going to be a grungy winter! In this show the black sheer got combined with creme white wool which added a little more softness into the total look.
