1AM presents the second in our series on the colourful underground fashion scene exploding out of the creative renaissance of Los Angeles. None more so than the easy-going Californian care free lifestyle label MAMADOUX, the creation of Designer Elliott Beach and Photographer Palma Wright, described in their own words as: “A fashion brand dedicated to the art, ideals, and lifestyles of the young creatives of our generation. Like us, our clothing is colourful and unique; every piece has its own identity and inspirations. We celebrate the freaks, hippies, ravers, artists, stoners, gays, burners and authentic individuals. The collection is completely handmade and comes directly from the designer’s hands to you. All of the clothing is hand dyed, hand painted, or hand printed and completely one of a kind, thus “imperfections” are all intentional”. Photography by Michelle Paulsen
